Description:
It’s an aircraft similar to a helicopter except it has three rotor disks. The beauty of the design is that three ordinary out-runners direct driving ordinary propellers can be used. A tricopter’s three motors are usually separated by 120 degree, not 90 degree like that of a quadcopter. Equipped with 6 propellers and 6 motors, the Y style tricopter is more stable and powerful.
